Senior Scholarship Committee

The Scholarship Committee reviews the applications submitted for the annual St. Matthew Graduating Senior Scholarships and selects the two recipients of $500 based on evaluation criteria.  Scholarship funds must be used for future educational purposes.  All applicants must be parishioners and active members of our Total Youth Ministry.

The committee publicizes the Scholarship Competition [LINK] in the winter, making the application available to all eligible parish high school graduating seniors.  The committee confers in the spring - April 1st submission deadline for applications.  Scholarships are presented at the annual Baccalaureate Mass first weekend in June.

The members of the Scholarshop Committee are appointed by the Pastor; the chair rotates on two year basis from among the committee members.
