ABOUT OUR MUSIC DIRECTOR

Robert (Bob) Cook is our Music Director at St. Matthew.  He joined us in 2018 and currently directs all the choirs and plays for all weekend Masses.  Bob has a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky and a Masters in Secondary Education from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.  He has taught music for over 27 years and has served as Music Director in churches in Kentucky,  Raleigh and Durham. 

He is married to his wife Ellen for over 50 years and they have two children, Kelly Pendergraft, married to husband Keith with a daughter Lydia.  Also a son, Kip Cook married to wife Melissa with twin boys, Gavin and Peyton.  In his free time, Bob enjoys landscaping, gardening and is a Gourmet Cook!  He works part time at The Home Depot and teaches voice, piano and art privately.
